Re-cabling ATH-ESW9 - Page 2

Alrighty.  After some research and mulling over whether or not I want to do the work on my new cans, I've decided to pull the trigger.

If I want 6-7 feet of cable, I only need to purchase 6-7 feet of this stuff, right (and not double)?  Also, I plan on using nylon techflex for the part where all of the cables are together and then heat shrink the individual pairs of cable for each side from the split to the drivers.

Does anyone know what size techflex and heat shrink I'll need?

and then I'll use the plug that was in my previous post.

My intentions are not to improve sound quality, but to make a more robust cable.

You do not need double.

1/8th techflex stretches easily over the 2893.

1/8th shrink tubing should be good as well - you're only going over two 24awg conductors

Awesome, thanks!  I'll post pics of the before, during and after.  :D

at the y-split - you might also use a piece of 1/2 or 3/8ths adhesive shrink tubing 3:1 (pinch in the middle with a needlenose while it's still hot). That will also hold that end of the techflex in place nicely.
