$1300 CDN too much for 4XXX K-1000?

I know that this is a subjective question that only I can answer for myself, but I pose it in regards to current market value in North America.

I've been missing my K-1000 since I sold my old pair last year. Now that I've gotten rid of my entire speaker rig (save the Aleph 30), I'm back to cans for home listening. There is a local bass heavy, in original box, K-1000 that I can get for $1,300 CDN. Is this excessive? I know that the higher serial number models like the one that I had are as low as $1,000.

Keep in mind that I wouldn't have to pay for overnight shipping (instant gratification), Paypal fees, or deal with potential scams.

Is it in perfect condition?

$1300 Canadian for a great condition bass heavy version K1000 is not quite $1250AUD.

They have sold for $1800AUD or so over here when they turn up like 4 leaf clovers.

Bargain if you ask me, it's the price of an LCD-2 in Australia.

I'll see how clean it is tomorrow, but he does claim to be the original owner.

These bass heavy models seem to sell for less in North America than the rest of the world???

Not 100% sure but I'm betting it depends on the potential buyer present at 'sale time'

I've met 'bassy version' lovers and 'bass lite' lovers so I'd imagine that two of either

would perhaps bring any eBay price up for example
