Rewiring Monster Studio Beats

I recently got a pair of Studio Beats by Dr Dre for free because they were "broke". After looking them over i realized the input for the power supply has been ripped out which is why they're broke. How would i go about rewiring the power supply into the cords? Here's some info on the wiring:

5 wires - red, black, green, yellow, white.

One plug that was still attached to the headphones has green, yellow and white wires.

I assume the red, black wires are for the power supply.

From what i've read these headphones are battery powered, in this case hooked to a wall outlet. They will not work without an external power supply.

Any help or suggestions would be SO greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance!

Any pics of the "broken" area with the wires?  It would probably help to have a visual.

The headphone cable is just stripped at the bottom. 5 colored wires in the cable. Red/black and white/green/yellow. Not sure exactly why they won't play without a power source, but then again i'm in no way experienced in wiring and electrical components.
