Easiest way to get bitperfect optical output in win7 x64?

I have a computer with chaintech av-710, which is connected to my external dac with optical toslink. I have been using winamp with asio drivers to get bitperfect under windows xp, which has been working fine.

But now I've moved to iwn7 x64, and I can't get asio to work no matter what I do. Or wasapi bitperfect for that matter. It's starting to drive me crazy, and I'm ready to buy a new sound card just to get optical bitperfect out.

So, if optical bitperfect output in win7 x64 is the only thing I need, and it just needs to work without any issues, is there some sound card that would be obvious to get?

It would be nice if I could find a solution that would work with winamp, but if this is not immediately possible, I can also accept other players.

Two possible solutions

ASIO4ALL should solve the ASIO problem

Have you considered kernel streaming?

Well I did use asio4all under xp, and was unable to get it to work with win7 x64. However, I decided to just have another go at trying it, hoping for the best. Apparently I must have messed something up before, because this time it worked! I followed this guide:

So... now it works! Thanks for the help = ]
