The first thing to say is that r-shack is a joke if they can't even gold plate their gold plated adapters.
It's also nice how the opening for the 1/4" jack has this nice gold rim as if to imply, nothing but gold plated goodness inside this baby!!
And yet we have this:
Copper?!?! AND it's corroded, this thing is probably 3-4 years old, not ancient by any means. The contacts aren't even soldered together, the two channels are sandwiched around another copper bit with a rivet in the center. No wonder it sounded different from the included Sennheiser adapter. It's a cheap POS.
Looks like radioshack isn't content with cheap, they're actually cheating people out of pennies on nearly worthless bits of metal and plastic.
