Which V-moda are you considering exactly ? What are your needs ? Budget ?

crossfade lp's. That's irrelevant, I just want to know what is better for what.

I couldn't find any reviews of the A30 or audition them so I can't really say much, although the V-modas are liked by a lot of Head-Fi'ers. Any where you can audition them in your area ? If you are listening to music, gaming headphones are not the best way to go.
