I'd definitely try this out and give an honest review if I could, but I don't live in the US :(

Just received them minutes ago. Hmm... how should I put this? Dear God, if this is NOT the extra bass edition, I'm going to hold off on the 3V2B's. Words fail to describe the quantity of bass these put out, there are no two ways about it. If I had to, I'd pose the scenario where two old school impala's on hydro's stop besides you on either side at a stop light, and the booming bass is powerful enough to rattle YOUR doors. Now imagine the very same feeling, on either side of your head, coming from something small enough to fit inside your ear. Yep, that'd be the 2V1S. I'm under the impression TFTA really took the following image into consideration when creating this monster:

huge-headphones-214x300.jpg

What impresses me most, however, is how they managed to package the above image into earphones. As it stands, one word, and only one word comes to mind when listening to the 2V1S; boomybasshead.gif On a more serious note, I'll post back my initial impressions tonight, after a few hours of listening, after which I'll allow for them to burn in a bit before posting my final review. Stay tuned... biggrin.gif

P.S. They happen to have the worst driver flex I've encountered to date. More on that later...

LOL! That picture speaks 1000 words and is probably the best description I've seen to describe these.

They had the same if not more bass than the MG7.

In spades. Nothing I've ever heard in the past compares to the quantity these put out. Strictly speaking in terms of quantity, the MDT's are (at best) a fourth the TFTA's. And no, I'm not exaggerating by any means. basshead.gif I could see them better compared to the mg7, but even then, the 2V1S' midbass is far more weightier.

P.S. Not sure how many here have heard the DDM2/ClarityOne, but both the DDM2 (to a greater extent) and ClarityOne (to a lesser extent) are closer to these than any other in-ears I own, yet even the DDM2/ClarityOne has (again, at best) half the quantity of bass the 2V1S does.

So they are mid bass heavy?  The MG7 was all great quality sub bass with very little, if any, mid bass.

And that's what I admired most about the mg7, in that there was little to no midbass emphasis. However, to say these are mid-bass heavy wouldn't do them justice. Their both mid-bass and sub-bass heavy, and extend insanely deep. Extremely hard-hitting is really the best way for me to say it, mirroring the very same feeling one gets when seated inside a car, surrounded by pounding bass on either side.

How would you compare the mids and highs against the MG7's?

The TFTA 1XB is more crisp and clear for me VS the older Atrio. I will get the MG7's shortly and I can't wait to compare them.

Any comparisons to the MG7 would be appreciated.

I'd love to my friend, but I don't have the mg7's on hand, and parted from them quite a while back, since I was personally after a different signature/presentation. As always, I never base my impressions off of memory, because I'd hate to mislead anyone by even the slightest. In fact, I'd like to turn it over to you with the same request, since you'll be receiving them shortly. smile.gif
