Winamp media player comes to mac!

Just thought everyone would like to know that if you own a mac you can now use Winamp on it! I wonder if they should rename it since the Win in Winamp probably comes from Windows.... Anyway heres the link.

I don't have any complaints with iTunes runs great for me. Plus I love sorting by Genre using Album artwork. I have not found any other media player that can do that. I know its sort of stupid but I won't find myself using any other software until I can sort like I can in iTunes because when you have a lot of music its just to much to sort through if you can not sort by genre, at least for me anyway.

That said I really love Miro and I would use it as my main music player if they would fix one simple thing. I hate that the volume control does not show you when its at 100% if you turn it up the whole way its actually at 400% and I have not been able to figure out how to set it back at 100%

I have not triad out this winamp yet but I might. I'm always willing to try new software, plus this supports VST plugins I believe which makes it interesting.

From a sound quality perspective, imo iTunes is analogous to a $250 amplifier. Aren't most serious windows users running the other app?

OMG OMG OMG OMG

TOO BUSY DOWNLOADING IT TO THINK!

 

EDIT: Sigh, it wasn't as good as anticipated. Just a simple music player, no advanced features. Disappointed.
