I just got home a few hours ago. My dad has a rather expensive sound system with a full size amplifier. I plugged them in with the large attachment and I literally was in heaven. I must now get an amp too. for use on my computer is the E7 the best for under 120?

They don't actually need amping - but they do scale well if you give them more juice.

Questions

- are you looking for just an amp, or a dac/amp?

- do you need portability - or is it just for the PC?

- what is your budget (ie is 120 the limit)?

Yeah 120 is the limit lol and I'll be using it with my laptop. So whatever would be best in that situation.

If it's only for the laptop - take a look at the Fiio E10.  No good for portable (pmp) - but ideal for use with a laptop.  I owned the E7 - and while it was good, the amp isn't particularly strong, and the E10 looks like a better bet.

All right I'll probably order that L3000.gif Thanks again man! They really are some of the best headphones I've used. I let my friend who has the the basic bose and the QC15's listen to them and he was like "How much did these cost?" hahaha

Bought my E10 a little while ago, and I've tested it out. Makes a huge difference. I love it haha Thanks for all your help. The only issue I face is now I want a pair of open cans. Is that normal? Does headphone purchasing become like an addiction? Doesn't help my engineering buddy up at school let me listen to his grado's lol
