Shure SRH440 Upgrade to Sennheiser HD558?

Hello, I just ordered an HD558 as an upgrade to my trustworthy Shure SRH440!  The Shures have served me well especially with the 840 pads which massively increased comfort and added a noticeable amount of bass and put the sometimes edgy highs in check.  Just wondering if this was worth the upgrade?

 

(sorry title is misleading, i meant i upgraded my shure srh440s to the hd558s)

Hate to be a drag but not really..all depends on what you're after.

 

If it's clarity and detail, I'd say you've taken a step back. Sorry.
