My friend has a pair of Roc Nation/Skull Candy Aviators (http://www.skullcandy.com/shop/aviator-white.html) and they sounded really nice, which surprised me for skull candy cause many of their other headphones I've listened to kindof blow....any suggestions?

Ultrasone HFI-580 is better.

Depends, what do you listen to?

the aviators aren't bad, but compared to other companies (the companies that are popular around HF), they are crap.

But for us to help you, tell us: what kind of music you listen to, what do you listen out of, portability and if design matters.

I listen to pretty much solely screamo and a bit of dubstep...but pretty much only screamo, bands like miss may, I veil of maya asking alexandria, chelsea grin, attack attack, the devil wears prada....stuff like that.

As for portability I will be bringing it too and from college everyday...idk what exactly you mean by portability but i can just throw them around my neck or what ever

and design I don't really care about, I just want the best quality.

+1 for the hfi-580's. I used to wear them to school with no problems, though a portable headphone like the sennheiser hd-25ii's might be better for that purpose.
