Worth the downgrade?

Strange question here. I'm currently using the AudioGD NFB 12's for my Beyer DT990's (600ohm model). With Christmas rolling around and my (already limited funds), I won't be able to build a Bottlehead Crack soon. Would it be worth it to simply sell my NFB-12, build a Crack, and run it through to my soundcard? It's a Creative PCI card, although I wouldn't be able to tell you the exact model.

TL;DR: Would the SQ degrade *too* significantly with a downgrade from a NFB-12 to generic addon Creative card?

Thanks :)

What the purpose of this Downgrade ? i'm sure you'll experience a significant loss of details by swapping the NFB12 to a generic addon Creative card...

With the crack perhaps you'll gain in soundstage and dynamics, but i'm sure the source is more important than the amplifier to obtain a good sound...
