Little Dot 2++, new tubes? Which?

I've mounted a spare-set of tubes which I got with the amp when I bought it second-hand, but don't know if those are any good. I hear a back-ground noise similar to what can be heard from my CD-player when paused and the disc spinns. I did not hear this with the other tubes I just replaced. I also think the sound lacks mids and some lows, but there is some punch in it, just sounds a bit harshish...

Using: 6C19n, but they don't have the same marking on them, old ones were.. hmm.... chinese (?) 6C19. There's a star on them and 2 chinese letters above the star. Same old inputs, CV4015. The inputs were better then the spare ones, unmarked tubes which looks the same at least.

So I guess those tubes are a bit worn, but I don't know what to get or from where, been trying to search but don't know how this tube-rolling works so figured I'd get a set of Mullard 4015 and a set of russian 6C19? Does anyone have a link to a seller who have matched pairs of those, preferably from the same seller and possible to pay with pay-pal.

The tubes you are looking for are 6S19P-V (Latin alphabet) or 6C19n-B (cyrillic)  These are actually the same name, it's common to see tubes listed under one or both of those names.

You want the -V (-B) tubes because those are the higher-quality versions.  Normal 6S19P (6C19n) tubes are lower quality.

Are you sure the CV4015 tubes you have aren't already mullard?  I most commonly see CV4015 as a designation used on military branded mullard tubes, but who knows?

If you can, I would suggest looking for a pair of Ediswan or Ultron EF92 tubes, as those are the ones i've generally settled on after years of experimentation.  Of course, YMMV.

I think they are mullards, but I've had the amp for 3years and it's powered for about 6hours a day, 5days a week, 46weeks a year....that's 4000hours. Think the tubes had it, and I didn't like the spare set of tubes when I got the amplifier.

I can't find a dealer who have both tubes and shipping is more then the tubes as it seems. Anyone with a link to where I can get both 6c19P and a set of matched mullard CV4015 of very good quality for a nice laidback sound?

Also been thinking about getting something else, since I listen to it for so long, perhaps a SS-amp is an better option? I'm also started to move towards upgrading the phones, either to a pair of Grado RS2 or audeze LCD2. Not sure if the LD2++ is good enough, and I still need to get a DAC, perhaps better to look for a combined DAC+Amp?

edit: The little dot was second hand as well, don't know the state of things when I got it either...
