HDMI to headphones...

Thread Starter

I'm sick of dealing with soundcards. Titanium HD, Forte, Asus ****, they all suck ass and I'm sick of it. The one setup I tried that had no issues was running HDMI to my Denon 1612 and hooking up my HD 598. It just seems a bit absurd though to buy a $300 receiver just to run headphones. Is there some HDMI dac/headphone amp on the market I just can't locate? There's got to be a more cost efficient solution here.

Just use the SPDIF connection on your motherboard or soundcard. It bypasses everything and feeds a digital signal to a DAC/amp of your choice. Or get a USB dac/amp, same principle except it uses a USB port.
