OK...been searching the world over (Google :-p) and can't seem to find if the external audio box for the Audigy 2 Platinum Pro amplifies headphones or not.
Just got a pair of Sony PFR-V1's and have this old card laying around and just wondering if it would do a better job at sound and amplification than my current set-up consisting of a Denon AVR-1610 and onboard PC audio through digital coax.
Well, I'm sure the Audigy is better than my onboard quality wise but I really wanna know about the power output of the external box, as even though my receiver gets loud it'll shuit off if the bass gets too low (crappy/afterthought headphone implfication I'm guessing?)
Anyways...if someone knows anything let me know! Thanks!
P.S. - Not really looking for any actual amp suggestions as I'm broke as a joke and a new amp is entirely out of the question for now just to let you know!
