How loud are open headphones?

I'm very new to this so please bare with me. How loud are "open" headphones? I want to buy the Sennheiser HD 598, HD 555, HD 518 or the HD 558. They're all open headphones, and from what I've known, they will leak out sound. I've never used these headphones in real life before, and I wonder how loud they are?

I always listen with a very low volume, so low that my friends can't even hear the sound clearly. I'll use it in my classroom, on the go, on the tram and at home. If I listen with a low volume, can a person sitting next to me hear the music?

Thanks, I appreciate all answers!

Probably not. But you have to consider that you'll be affected by outside noises.

What about a closed back headphone?
