This is When Portable Rocks!

I live in the northeastern USA. This past weekend we had a storm that really did a lot of damage. My neighborhood looks like a war zone. Trees down everywhere, along with power, cable, and telephone lines. Even trying to get out of the neighborhood was very difficult the day after, due to roads being totally blocked off, not to mention snow and ice.

I'm so glad I fully charged my iPod and amp the day before. I was able to listen to my music in spite of having no power. (this is now our third day without power, and it is not expected back until Friday - maybe.)  Hi quality sound, my Kindle, a battery powered lantern, two sweatshirts, and I'm good to go. Could be a lot worse. L3000.gif

Sounds like your roughing it, well not really since you still have music lol.

Good luck in getting your power back and making your neighborhood less warzone like.biggrin.gif

Having portable equipment definitely helps in situations like those. It's even better when your portable stuff has decent battery life....

Although I can charge both at work and/or my car, I think I'm going to buy this thing from Amazon - especially since it can also charge cell phones! When you're in a situtation like mine, and your only connection to the outside world is a cell phone, battery life means everything.

Awesome biggrin.gif but when will the battery run out? Kind of soon if you keep listening a lot, I assume biggrin.gif
