Portable headphones for iPhone with mic

Hello!

I´ve been searching the net for at pare of good sounding headphones that has a mic on it, unfortunately the only thing i have found is the beats by dre. I went down to a electronic shop and listened to them (both the Solo HD and the Studio´s) but didn´t like the sound, for that price i feel that i could get way better headphones (p5, HD 25 II etc).

The problem with those are the lack of microphone (or in the p5 case it costs a bit to much where i live (sweden)), so im turning to you guys to check if you know any good headphones within the budget of 250-300 $ that also has a mic.
Maybe i should buy a pare of headphones with exchangeable cord and buy the monster cable cord with a mic?

I'm looking for the same.  I've had Bose MIE2i (which I washed with my jeans and destroyed), Klipsch S4i, Ultimate Ears UE500, and Etymotic MC3.  The Ety's and UE's were awful....at least for me.

The UE's had no power...had my volume turned all the way up and they weren't loud at all.  They also sounded kind of staticy even after burn in.

The Ety's were very bright, and would have sounded good other than the fact that they go so far into your ear canal that they feel like they're in your brain.  Not really my thing.  The mic on the Ety's is also horrendous!

The Bose sound good, but they sound like everything Bose.  Certainly not audiophile quality, but they're pleasing to most of the general public and they're comfortable.  The mic is also very good and doesn't pick up too much background noise.

The Klipsch S4i's sound great, but they're just not comfortable on me long-term.  I might try them with Comply foam tips and see how they do.  The other problem with them is that the cable is coming out of the strain relief and will  probably break entirely soon.  I need to contact their support about a replacement.  They have a 2 year warranty and I hear they're pretty good about replacing them.  The mic is OK, but does pick up some background noise.

I was thinking of looking into the Bowers & Wilkins C5's, as they seem to get great reviews on Amazon and the Apple store.  They're a bit expensive for what they are though.

I'm open to any other suggestions people have!

The ATH line-up has a couple of portable headphones with mics. Models like WS55i. IEM wise the choice is plentiful. From the Turbines, miles davis, IE8i, TF10vi to the Custom cables with mics you can attach to detachable-cable IEMs and customs, just give it a search

The Klipsch Image One has iPhone controls and a microphone. I have only heard them at the Apple store so I don't feel I can really comment on the sound.Monster has several models in their outlet store that have microphones.

The WS55i is a model i was thinking about, but i would rather have a headphone with exchangeable cord since i always somehow manage to damage the cord and never the headphone itself.

I was also looking at the pioneer HDJ-500, and eventually buying a small apple adapter with a mic to connect to those headphones, the price difference is around 23 £

AiAiAi TMA-1 with a control-talk cable from either V-Moda or Monster. The TMA-1's are very efficient, sound great, and can have a mic added since the headphone accepts a 3.5mm male to male interconnect.

Do you want over-ear or IEM?  I've got Bose QC15's that sound nice if you like the Bose sound and noise canceling.  The newest models come with the iPhone controller/mic.  Lot's of IEM's.  I just ordered some Monster Turbine Golds with the control talk feature.  $174 on Amazon as of yesterday.  I'll let you know how they sound.  I 'test-drove' the non-mic ones in the store and they were really good.  I had the Miles Davis Tributes but didn't like them as much.

Check the table in Post #8 at the end of Page 1 in Joker's massive set of reviews. The first column ("i") indicates which of those 202 (so far!) IEMS has a mic/remote option.

I looked at the Bose headphones but they cost a bit to much for me, I´m not gonna buy IEM´s right now, but would be great if you told me what your thoughts are on the Monster turbines. Will probably ask for a pare of IEM for christmas.

It isolates fairly well. I have no complaints about it. Most IEM's will isolate better, but they isolate well. I absolutely love this headphone. I actually prefer it to the HD650, sounds crazy i know.
