Philips Fidelio L1 (upcoming headphone) - Page 2

Interesting, and it seems to be based on good and simple ideas. Maybe a bit too big for me, but I guess the form factor will be ideal for quite a lot of people - and nowadays thanks to Beat there's no shame in wearing large headphones in the streets.

They look very comfy to wear around the neck based on the round headband. You can see they really shaped the headband with that in mind.

They do look very good.

Oh wow, I love the way that thing looks. It looks like a Grado from the past and a dt1350 from the future got together and had a kid that actually fits in the beginning of the 21st century. It looks great, and it looks like a fullsize that small-heads like me might actually look alright wearing.

well.. Honestly.. Reading the brochure.. It seems exactly like a knockoff HD 800. Lol, but with Regular dynamic driver and kockers concepts... in every way.. Hehe, even the brochure is similar.

I'll probably pick one up if it's 200-240$. If Phillips prices this around $200 they could really make a name for themselves. The very same way Sennheiser did with HD 600. 650.

I have a strong affinity for such designs, one of the nicest I've ever come across.

Just look and feel the hardware that is the ambilight 21:9 cinemaTV - outstanding and unparalleled!

Why so ? Can't you use it with normal players even with the remote ?

Saw that video. Unfortunately we don't know the references on which the presenter can judge this pair of headphones. If it's compared to beats I suppose it's likely to sound fantastic indeed.

The presenter's view should obviously be taken with a pinch of salt. Either way, I've never heard of him despite being from the UK.

I don't know if it can control other players with remote. But as i'm thinking at it for home using imho remote control is useless and it could be a possible point of failure in the future

I believe the presenter is simply there to advertise the cans. All he is saying is likely to be selected by Philips. If Philips chooses to say that these are the best ever made by them, then I guess they are most likely going to sound good.

Pleasant sounding, probably yes.

If it sounds no more pleasant than a PX200 II than it's not worth the money. The market is already flooded so you need something special...

I'm getting a sample to review (I think)!
