FIIO E7 not working - turns on but no sound

My E7 stopped working after about a month.  It turns on and is recognized by my PC, but I'm just not getting any sound out of it.  I've also tried to connect to my iPod line out and the "Aux In" is displayed on the E7, so it recognizes the iPod, but still no sound.  It's like the amp portion of the E7 stopped working.  The weird thing is I only use it at my desk at work, and it was working fine, I shut it down for the day, and the next morning it wasn't working.  Nothing changed other than turning it off and back on 14 hours later.  So frustrating!  Has anyone else experienced or heard of this issue before?

I've contacted FIIO so I guess I have to wait to see what they say. Hopefully I don't have to pay for shipping to get a replacement since I just paid $100 for the device about a month ago.  Btw, I bought it from JMS INTERNATIONAL INC/DIGI-MALL on Amazon, and so far they haven't been very helpful.  I really wish I had known about Micca when I bought it because I definitely would've bought it from them instead.....

It has almost a full battery.  I do keep the USB charging off until it's down to 1 bar, then fully charge it, and then turn charging back off to keep the battery well conditioned.  I've seriously babied this thing, which makes it even more frustrating that it's no longer working.

Yes, I've definitely reset it via both the reset button on the top and the reset in the settings menu.  I've tried pretty much everything possible short of opening it up and poking around with my meter.  I even tried using an L7 dock for the USB in and line out and neither of those connections worked.

I'm not as worried about it as I was before because I was able to get a full refund from Amazon.  I don't think I'll buy another E7 though.  I may look into building my own portable amp instead.
