For Sale:
FS: Eddie Current Zana Deux

Will Ship To: Anywhere

I recently purchased this Zana, but have decided to move higher up the chain.  I have an opportunity to purchase the Balancing Act, but would like to sell this before I make the jump.  It is the original Zana (not the SE), is in very good, 9/10 condition.  I just received it from Craig himself less than a month ago -- he was checking it over and gave it a clean bill of health before I bought it.  He packaged it up in some sturdy boxes, and I will pack it securely in the same boxes.  If you look at the photos, you'll see that there are two small knobs on the top near the front.  You are not seeing things; this amp is extra special in part because each channel has a separate, adjustable balance pot.

I also have a bunch of additional tubes, most of which I haven't even tried yet, and that the original seller told me were new.  There are seven additional 6SL7 drivers, some of which are very pricy, and four additional (i.e. beyond the 2 stock tubes) 6C33C power tubes.  The amp has a beautiful, rich sound that is not syrupy or congested.  I have perfect feedback here (and I had a few pages of perfect feedback here before the servers changed), on ebay, on audiogon, and a bunch of other places on the web.  Buy with confidence!

p.s. One just sold on Audiogon for $1799, but I really hope to keep this within the head-fi family.

Some people have asked about what additional 6SL7 tubes comes with the amp.

1. Mullard CV569.  It's a brown-base tube with a "CV569" label on glass.

2. Brimar.  Made in England.

3. National Union.  It has black-coated glass.

4. Tung-Sol with a black coated glass.

5. RCA, with a gray-coated glass.

6. Sylvania, with a silver-coating near the top (about 3/4 of the way up the tube).

7. Tung-Sol, completely silver-coated.

The amp will also come with 6 6C33C tubes.  I'm not sure who makes them -- there is some writing in Russian on them.

All in all, somewhere around $500 in tubes (probably more, as I've seen some of these go for over $100 each), and you get them all for free with a purchase of an already incredibly-priced Zana that was just last month checked over by Craig himself.

For your readers' information: To the best of my knowledge, there is only one remaining factory that manufactures that tube, and it is indeed in Russia. Buyers can feel secure in the knowledge that the tubes are original/genuine.
