NFB-12 vs NFB-5 vs Tubemagic D1 vs ? for DT770-250PRO

Hey guys,

So I just bought a pair of DT770-250Pro's to replace my K81DJ's that finally bit the dust after several years.

I'm looking to get a DAC/AMP combo to complement them.

I will be outputting from a MBP, so optical/USB (optical being the better of the two I'm assuming).

In the near future I will possibly look into getting a set of bookshelf speakers/monitors, so having an output would be nice.

I'm considering the Audio GD NFB-12/5 and Tubemagic D1, but am open to other suggestions that pair well with these headphones. (Within the same budget as the 3 I listed, so $200-$350ish)

Thanks!

Please tell me why you went for the NFB12 over the 5.

These are also the two I am choosing between.

As far as I can dicern the difference is in the display and headphone jack.

is there more to it for the extra $130 bucks, do you think?
