Yamaha EPH-100 - Page 213

After one month of using this great IEMs, the right speaker begin to buzzing/rattling. Tracks like Bach's Toccata And Fugue (Dr. Chesky's last binaural album) or Rider to the Sea (Anna Calvi) make this worse, even on both speakers.

maybe you changed the setting of your source, in a way that lead to clipping.

Try with an other one.

I didn't change anything, this happened 2 day ago on the fly, while listening from my iPod. Same happens in my MacBook and Sansa.

Well, I must admit the eph-100 has reliability problems.

Its been apparent for a long time.

 

Even before I bought mine 5 months ago.

 

Still, no weird issues happening here. Maybe my ears are just gentle. cool.gif

Dear Head-fi,

 

I have to admit that Yamaha-EPH100SL is definitely the most pleasing and fun earphones in my inventory. Not only the earphone, the tips is my favourite; it fits to horrible fitting earphones like AKG Q350 and Jlab J5 (they have shallow seal so they dont seal well). I tried the extra small eartips on AKG q350, which is shallow-fitting with large nozzle, and it sounds fabulous, more open, and sibilance is greatly reduced. Moreover, it makes it very comfortable for long hours. Since I am interested with the Yamaha Eartips ( small to extra small), I wonder if anyone selling that :)

I am trying to buy ONE of the small eartip. Anyone an extra one? (the second smallest)

 

Or any suggestion on better eartips for the EPH100 would be appreciated!

SL probably means silver, but I'm not aware of a non-silver model.

SL is the name for the US buyers.

There is no new Yamaha micro dynamic just yet.

Im also looking for better eartips as the smaller ones I have didnt hold up well.
