Creative Aurvana Live recable help

One of the ears on the Creative Aurvana Live stopped working and I was hoping I could recable them. I'm trying to figure out what cables and materials I need to recable.

Where should I buy the parts? I'm guessing I just really need to have the cables and a jack 1/4 jack? How do I know if I need a Y splitter?

If the cables go into both sides from the main cable (splitting one cord into two, you need a y-split of some sort. 

 

If it is only one cord going into one side, you likely do not. There is probably a jack or board inside the (usually left) side that connects to a small wire or headband connection that carries the sound over to the other side. 

 

I like to get supplies from Markertek and Parts Express.
