Astro Mixamp troubleshooting

Thread Starter

Hey all,

I recently bought an Astro mixamp to use with my newly acquired Fischer Audio FA-011s for gaming on my PS3. I have it hooked up via TOSlink from my PS3 to the amp, with a usb cord for power(/maybe voice chat?) to the PS3. Problem is, I bought a zalman mic to use for communication, and I plug in through the back of the amp into "PC Mic" in/output, but it seems like it's not working. Do I need to but a 3.5mm y-splitter cable to hook the headphones/mic together into the input on the front of the mixamp to get it to work? If so, any specific kind of y cable?

Thanks a lot!

Dave

I'd say this might be a better question for the Astro forums my friend.
