Advice on dac/amp required

Hi,

 

I currently use my Sony SA5000 k headphones with my main hi fi, however I have just bought an imac and want to use the imac as my headphone sytsem and wondered what are considered to be the 'good' combined dac/amps for about £150? 

 

Sorry if this the wrong forum, but I don't want a 'portable' amp and hope that someone can help........

If you want to try something low cost?

You can get a single tube headphone amplifier, off eBay, starting at 32 GBP, ships from China.

You would need a Digital MultiMeter (DT830, $6-$10) to do a final voltage/balance adjustment.

It might do the job good enough for you that you save a 100 (or more) GBP.
