Directly connect headphone amplifier?

Good afternoon ladies and gents,

I am a complete beginner when it comes to such things and I hope this is the right place to ask these questions and you'll bear with my inexperience.

I was wondering whether it is possible to connect my Headphone amplifier (Pro-ject Headbox II) directly to my CD player (Pro-ject CD Box) or does this require an extra amplifier? Please note that the CD Box is Transport + DAC.

Also, is it possible to connect my tube pre-amp (which is connected to the turntable) directly to the Headphone amplifier or does this require an extra amplifier?

The manual of the Headbox says I should connect this component to an amplifier however I was wondering if it's possible to run it directly.

Pretty much like this: http://www.head-fi.org/t/152341/post-pics-of-your-headphone-set-up-and-listening-area/4545#post_5654078

I was just wondering if it's possible to run such setups and if there even is a point in buying a central amp.

Turntable => Phono Pre-Amp => Headphone Amp => Cans
CD Box => Headphone Amp => Cans

Thank you for your help and assistance,

momax

I don't see why you would have any problems. I would expect both the cd player and the turntable (after going through the phono pre amp) would be line level which means you just plug it into your headphone amp and then bam! Done! So enjoy!
