RockBox For HiFiman HM601 and for HM801 - Page 24

I see the port is now at r12 http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/HifimanPort and I am on r7.

 

Anyone know the differences between the two and whether it's worth upgrading

Just got my HM601 Slim. Trying to figure out how to install Rockbox but i'm not sure what to do =/. How do i patch the original firmware? and where do i find the base.rkw file?

Make sure, that the SLIM version is fully supported before installing RockBox or you may end up having an expensive paperweight. As I remember, the display on the slim version is different from the standard 601 (as well as the 602 and 801) which is the reason for this problem with the slim version of the 601.

I guess i'll just talk to head-direct first before doing it.

They will say the warranty is voided if you install RockBox I'm quite sure and also that they can't help you with third party software. Go to RockBox forum and ask there for advice.

Just looked into it. Sadly...a stable version is currently not available for the slim versions.

Just install rockbox on my 801 but I can't get database working it get stuck on building database do I need to change some setting in rockbox to get it working or is there any other solution.

It works for me with approx 100gb filled on a 128gb card. Maybe you could ask for help on the rockbox forum:
