Over Ear Closed for $200

I would like to spend $200 maybe $250 if its worth it on a pair of over ear closed headphones. I mainly listen to rock and hip-hop. I will be playing them out of an ipod with no external amp. They need to be comfortable (will be wearing them 4+ hours sometimes) and noise cancelling. Thanks for all help!

which of these would be better, audio technica ath m50, beyerdynamic dt 770 32 ohms or 80 ohms, shure srh840, or ultrasone hifi 780

M50s are good.  Haven't heard the DT 770s (save the 600 Ohm version).  IIRC, the SRH840s are warm and smooth, and the 780s are bright (but not fatiguing) and punchy.  IMHO most Ultrasones suffer from a lack of richness in the mids, and the S-Logic thing always bothered me.  I think the M50s are more comfortable than the 840s, and while the 770s might be the most comfortable of the four, they are less than ideal for isolation.

so which would you recommend

The M50s.

I was going to recommend the 840s... IMO just so much richer and fuller than the M50s.
