BEst gaming speaker setup

Thread Starter

Hello,

I am looking into buying anew speaker setup for gaming and some music. My budget is 400 dollars right now I am running a

Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium HD. Any information would be great ( kinda new to the speaker world).

Thank you,

X-Fi Titanium HD, huh? That either means that you're getting a stereo speaker system fed via analog, or a surround speaker system with a DAC somewhere along the line fed by S/PDIF, at which point your X-Fi is now just a DSP for EAX effects in games, CMSS-3D Headphone for when speakers are unsuitable, etc.

I don't have anything specific to recommend, but if you could state whether you prefer solid stereo sound quality or want to try and set up a surround speaker system, that could help other people here give better advice.

Well to address games/movies needs with said budget i would hit a decent 2.1 set up with a stereo/power amp, bookshelf and sub tongue_smile.gif

I'm also looking to step up the sound a bit on my television. Currently working with a Samsung UN55C8000. Play a lotta games and listen to a lotta music. Head-fiers, please advise with how to proceed. Puffyjay and I would appreciate it.

M-Audio AV40, panasonic BS41, Audioengine A5(+), Aon 3

ordered from worst to best. Check reviews and such of all of them, they are all great. Aon 3 has dual built in subwoofers so you wont need to add a sub to your system. Bass is monodirectional but stereo bass still somehow manages to sound better.
