what's the one of the best custom cables for these drivers?

and as for the cups, do wood cups sound actually better than plastic cups like sr60?

or is it for the look?

i have twcu, twag, apuresound v2 on my possession at the moment

i see that turbulentlabs is selling their own cables on the website

are these any good/better than the cables i have?

http://turbulentlabs.com/hydra-studio-cable/

I am in a minority here that does not believe in a *humanly perceptible* difference in sound transmission and quality, so I'd say, even a stock Grado cable would sound perfectly fine.

I do tend to build my own or get aftermarket cables though, not for sound reasons, but for build quality and ease of use. I don't know if you're familiar with the stock Grado, but it is stiff and frustrating, though fairly robust. Ceterus paribus, all cables *in my opinion* will give the same sound, the main differences being the durability and flexibility of the cable. You may wish to note also the 7ft length of that Hydra cable, which might be longer than you want. I personally don't like cables longer than 4ft and actually prefer to terminate to 3.5mm, so if that's also your preference, you could consider their Go variation cable.

But I'd just stick with what you have. Even if those cables did sound better, why waste money when you already have cables you could use?

oh wow i didnt expect you actually have to cut the plastic open

i thought there would be a prettier way...

i wonder if grado would do the job

if i send the headphones and magnum drivers to them

there's another way that I haven't tried (I obviously cut them out) where you trim and press them out gimme a bit I'll find a walk through

Man I love the V5/X... makes metal sound so good, especially Moonsorrow :<

Have a build with Vibro cups and Saddle manta, so light, comfy and sound great. I have the V4 also but prefer the V5 by a little.

Hi, MinoX from Italy.

I have a Turbolent X Driver.

What is the correct driver's polarity?
There is a pin marked green, it's + or - ?

Thanks, Cosimo.

I dont think you have to care about the drivers polarity as long as you connect two wires to each conductors

How do you build Magnums? Can I order the new V5 drivers alone from Symphones? Are the V5 drivers unable to be put in wood cups?
