I don't think I've ever been so happy to see those words.  basshead.gif

Yeah, I was thinking about how I might be able to squeeze in a sick day for next week.  However, I'll already be out of the office for two days as it is:  One day, I'll be volunteering on our election day - and my employer pays for volunteer days, then at the end of the week, we'll have Friday off for Veteran's day.  So, no time for sick days.  I guess I'll just let the drivers burn in  there I can to get them to where they should be. tongue_smile.gif

Mine are paid for too and just waiting for the tracking #. Next month (trying to spread the expense a bit wink_face.gif) I'm getting some nice slip-on from Martin!!!!

I'll ensure I post some detailed pictures of the drivers.  I'm interested in seeing how the solder tabs look - in comparison to the de-facto "Grado" standard.

We need more people to buy a lathe and start cutting cups.  Marty is being overworked as it is and orders are backing up.  Plus, the shed he works in isn't insulated, so his work schedule will slow down in a few months.  I toyed with the idea of buying a used lathe as there are many on Craigslist in my area, but I just don't have time.  My desires to work with the headbands has backed up long enough while I was able to procure the necessary equipment.  Now, I have two great working machines and 2 machines that I picked up along the way that I'm just going to sell off as I don't have time to apply the necessary attention to refurbish them to get top dollar on them.

Beautiful!  Thanks for sharing the wonderful pictures.  The solder tabs seem adequate.  Are you going to connect a quick cable tonight and start the burn-in process?

Darn, I feel like such a glutton for ordering 2 pair.  I need to get a set of wooden cups, too.

You're welcome! And yes it's already done. I do not have any headband and cup to hold them but I'm holding them on my head with bowl pad on and I can believed the amount of air coming out of the chamber. I won't do any sound impression (I'm not very good at it) but of course I'm going to say that they sound good with my improvise setup. Burn-in start now!
