I recently acquired a pair of pre '05 DT 770s. They were owned for a while before me so I don't have the box, but the impedance is 600 ohms so I'm pretty sure they're the Premiums and not the Pros. Any suggestions on an amp - portable or otherwise - that would work well with these? I would like to refrain from spending more than $200. Could I benefit from an amp/DAC combo? I mostly listen through my iPod or laptop.
