Which receiver for movie-watching/gaming with simulated surround sound for headphones?

I'm in the process of moving out of my house and into an apartment.  I don't think that my new neighbors are going to appreciate me watching Star Wars at 2 AM with my current 5.1 speaker system, so I think I'm going to be doing a lot more headphone listening while watching movies.

My understanding is that Dolby Headphone or something similar is pretty essential for movie watching with headphones.  My current receiver (an Onkyo) doesn't have anything like that, so I'm in the market for a new receiver.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good receiver for movie-watching with headphones?  Is there anything I should be looking for besides the presence of Dolby Headphone processing?

I have the Yamaha Receiver with silent cinema which let you use all the DSP modes for headphones as well. I never ever use that function... I don´t use dolby headphone either for that matter. I do enjoy surround but dsp does screw up the sound a bit to get there :)

Well, I tried out a Yamaha receiver with Silent Cinema (the A2000) and a Marantz receiver with Dolby Headphone (the NR1602).

Can't say I was that impressed with either.  Both simulated surround formats do seem to be a step up from straight stereo, but neither seemed very good at generating a 360 degree sound field.  It was, maybe, 270 degree, at best.

Silent Cinema has a lot more tweakability than Dolby Headphone, but the different settings just seemed to add varying amounts and types of artifical reverb, which kind of got annoying.  I ended up using the default setting (forget what it is called--"STANDARD" maybe?) which had most of the reverb turned off.

Looks like I won't be upgrading my receiver after all.
