i heard this new fostex phone at canjam rmaf last october. it is like a denon d7000 on steroids! 

the $2000.00 price is a joke! the build quality is the same as denon d7000,they sound just like d7000 with more details.

i paid $549 dollars years ago for d7000. 

at best,this fostex phone is a $700 phone to my ears.

fyi,i own sony r10s and they are galaxys ahead of the d7000 and th900 fostex in every way.

HAve you listened to the Victor-JVC HP-DX1000; if so, where do you put the fostex and d7000?

Wow, this thread is really going in slow motion.

 

I guess, if Fostex had announced the TH900 a few years ago, everybody would have gone totally crazy. Fostex seems to have a sixth sense to put the right product at the wrong time into production, their market research is obviously incompetent or non existing. Same with the glorious original T50v0 from the late 70s (the LCD2 and the Hifimen are principally copies of that design), nobody cared about that back then. No wonder Fostex went to low-risk OEM production for other brands...

I don't know about others but this red cups are ugly. I prefer the natural wood color.
