Firstly, sorry for reviving an old thread. My 'xams got me bogged down for a couple of weeks. Just got myself an RSA Predator (also, like the IE8, takes ages for the sound to sweeten), and it's pairing up very well with the IE8. In addition, it also looks like the IE8's mids and highs seriously open up at the 1900-2000 hour mark. It is simply amazing. Personally, I believe that a good IEM should be paired with a good amp, it justifies the price, no? The iBasso series isn't bad, along with the Fiio E10. Or you could opt for a PMP with a built-in OPAMP, my ultra-portable rig's the IE8 with a Sanza Clip+. Light on pocket, light in pocket. Hope this helps you! smile_phones.gif

This may be a little off topic but @caracara08 how does the IE8 sound like with the TWag? I noticed you posted a FS notice on your IE8 TWag. Now that might be interesting. Thanks.

dont want this thread to turn into a cable thread but i think it sounds more dynamic.  a touch more treble, better defined bass.  at this point, not sure if i want to sell the combo or not.  it sounds awesome to me but i do EQ it on my j3.  i dont mind eqing a little. some people wouldnt eq no matter what but ive tried enough headphones, sources, and amps to know that i dont mind a little to get that sound im looking for.  

but yea i love the twag.  for me the fit was a little off when worn up (with tthe twag) so ive been wearing them down.
