I need a headphone that will work with 3d glasses.

I need a headphone that will work with Nvidia's 3d vision glasses. The glasses have a very stiff arms that stick out a good ways from your head. I guess that they're made to go over normal glasses if need be. Because of that I kind of have to rule out over ear headphones. I only really use 3d vision for single player gaming and I'm not some huge competitive gamer to begin with anyways. I'm thinking about picking up the Grado SR60i. It looks like they might work well and they'll probably be fun to try out for music anyways. Is there anything else that I should look into?

In that price range the AD 700 may work if you do preferr circumaural. On my head anyway they have a a really weird fit as in the top half of the earpads aren´t touching the ears so you can snag in glasses there. Otherwise you need to find really slim headphones with the ED 8 form factor or even smaller. I generally use my glasses on top of the earpads but it´s hard with both them and the nvidia stereo3D glasses with the jumbo headphones I been collecting lately.

There are a bunch of supra-aural/ear-pad phones worth looking at. The Sennheiser 25-1 II would be near the top of that list for closed headphones.

Thanks, I would love to try out the AD700 one of these days but to be honest I'm not so sure that they'll do that much better with the glasses than my current set of cans.

Yeah, I'm not so sure about closed headphones to be honest. It might just be the cheaper closed cans that I've used in the past that kind of make me weary of a closed set.

AD 700 is pretty much the only circumaural headphone I can imagine use with headphones normally but as mentioned both glasses and 3D is probably still stretching it. I suppose I will try some tomorrow. Bulletstorm is great in 3D ;)

Thanks, I may have to give them a shot one of these days.

I started to play Bulletstorm but performance got a bit too choppy for me in 3d. I really need to get around to playing Just Cause 2. The little that I did play that rocked in 3d.

I think I might be able to help with this one.

I recently bought a pair of HD555 for gaming. I haven't actually used the nVidia glasses but I can say at least for the standard build of of 3D glasses, it fits almost perfect.

They fit perfectly with these on. I do however have a smallish head but again, the HD555 works great with these on.

Add the 598's to that list. wink.gif

I occasionally use them for some gaming, and they are pretty comfy. Sometimes i forget that im wearing them.

Those glasses are better then the nvidia stereo glasses because they have straight scalms :)

I tried some hours with the AD 700 and it´s perfectly doable. However it´s on the limit so there is certainly no guaranteed success on every head. I suppose the right thing would do would be to cut the scalms off and try to mod them with more straight ones. I really don´t understand the design at all. Who want headphones that sit in place by putting pressure on is it temples?
