ffdshow HE mod

Thread Starter

Modified ffdshow DLLs.

recompiled by newest intel c++ compiler with optimized settings.

sound is much better than the original dlls

Just copy these DLLs to any installed ffdshow player folder, (media player classic etc)
overwrite the old files

hi, what did you improve? does it still support VST plugins via winamp2 wrappers?

is it an ICL12 build?

it's ICL12.1 build

are you aware that ffdshow is protected by a GPL licence and that you're not allowed to make changes w/o providing the source code of the changes?

plus, you claim "improved sound quality" but you refuse to comment the changes? you realize that no one is going to install modified binaries with undocumented changes off a chinese blog?

There is no change to source code ,

just recompiled by icl12.1 with optimized compiler settings

& this is not an installation package, you will not able to install it. wink.gif

ok, now we're talking :)

so how does that improve anything over those ICL12 builds: http://www.xvidvideo.ru/ffdshow-tryouts-project-x86-x64/ confused_face_2.gif

got benchmarks to show the diff? and I'm not talking about a 0.001% fps improvement on a specific CPU and a specific video codec, as you claim "improved SQ". How did you benchmark any SQ improvement due to compiler settings if you don't mind me asking? Seriously, try to be more credible before throwing links on forums wink_face.gif

I already posted links to ICL12 builds, be careful about the placebo effect.

Ya I know there is an ICL12build

The original ICL12 build did not use full optimized settings.

you can hear the difference yourself

I've compared Reclock resamplers w/ various compiler optimizations, they yielded different CPU usage but the SQ was exactly the same: http://forum.slysoft.com/showpost.php?p=156914&postcount=3

Do you have any data that would prove that compiler optimizations change the SQ at all? Could your real world impressions be due to placebo in your opinion? Did you DBT the so-called improvement?

Do you measured different cd transporters?

Can you prove why hi end cd transporters digital out is better than the low end?

please do not ask dumb questions

I've compiled the ReClock dlls with optimized settings, the windows UAC need turn off, (does not support WinXP )

The pics below are recommended settings of ReClock

you may give it a listen

I sure can: http://lampizator.eu/LAMPIZATOR/TRANSPORT/CD_transport_DIY.html

Can you prove your placebo-ridden impressions on compiler optimizations altering the SQ somehow? I guess not, but thanks for passing by. A proper DBT would fit the bill too, if you can do that.
