Paper maps are cool because they're so last-century. Most people just use the internet nowadays.

Oh man, I used to love collecting old world maps when I was younger! At one point I had 4-5 really nice ones. I think my parents still have them in storage in India somewhere, but I need to check that out sometime!

I used to have hundreds of national geographic magazines stretching all the way back to 1925. I loved all the maps particularly the ones that were out of date. But then again i used to be in love with geography. I remember doing geography in school and everyone would ask me where such and such is on a map. People were dumbfounded by how i knew so much.

Maps are cool. I have a collection also, but I'm sure not as extensive as yours. Raven Maps has a great website.

I have no idea how, but its actually from lurking around these forums that I got into fountain pens -_-

I think it was that I'm contempt with my DT880s and Valhalla. I just need to save up for a DAC so I lurk around the misc/music more often and somehow came across a pen-fi thread.

I now have a Twsbi 540, 3 bottles of ink, and a strong urge to save up for a Pelikan M800 :/

and yet still not DAC...

I still say the "Fan-Fi" thread for a while back was the most odd "Fi" I've seen here

While the subject of Oilfield freebies is what started this thread:

16 free hats collected over 4.5 years - and these are the ones I actually keep! I usually end up chucking at least 3-4 hats into a shipment to Salvation Army every year or so.
