Agreed. Especially since: 1) there's really been little or no mention of CLAS v2... 2) the mk3 was supposed to be out by now, and is not... and 3) there hasn't even been a solid estimated date given on the mk3 release in a long time (unless I missed it.)

Given all that, seems the mk3 release would be another 1 or 2 months at the soonest, and a v2 CLAS or all-in-one would be best case later this year, or perhaps even early 2013. 

Total speculation/estimation on my part, sorry if I sound negative, just a little frustrated because I really want this product asap :)

An all in one box with RX3 and CLAS capabilities in one package would be good but is likely to be the same size as the two combined IMO.  When looking at the iBasso PB2 and DB2 forums the improvement in sound quality when powering by a balanced amp is very noticeable but people say that the improvement from there by feeding the amp with a balanced signal is much less significant.

I would also like to have a bit more news on the estimated sale date and perhaps the causes of the delays.  At least then we can live out the RX3's development.

My hope is that Ken and the guys are so busy getting them made, they don't have time to post here about delivery timelines/updates ;)

Yes, agree.  I am confident that Ken is busy working on getting these out the door.  I guess when he told the world about the Rx3 at CanJam Rocky Mountain that he pretty well started the clock ticking to get them out the door.  I remember when the RX3 was first announced there was a spike in the number of RSA 71/b's on the for sale forum.  There must be quite a few people who cashed up in anticipation and who are probably missing their old rigs.

At least I didnt need to sell anything but I am still impatient none the less....  :-)

Note that:

1. An iPhone's battery life, playing continuous music through the CLAS, is around 2-3 hours (for me) with normal phone usage... because it's my phone.

2. a) Interconnects cost extra $

    b) Interconnects degrade sound

    c) Interconnects stick out and is a hassle to plug in, plug out, daily.

3. You only charge one device, for 2-3 hours, for a 8-9hr playtime vs. charging your iPhone, CLAS, Amp, and a balanced DAC if you have one.

4. When selling your portable rig, you're selling one box in one go vs. trying to sell 2-3 + interconnects.

Mobility? You are certainly gaining mobility, kind sir.

I wonder how well the bass pot works. The MK3 is going to be the same form factor as the CLAS, correct?

Good info on the 2 to 3 hours of iPhone battery life.  I didn't know that. 

I own several Apple products, so a device that works with all those products (like the HP-P1) is a plus for mobility as well, so it's all relative.  I must admit though that reading the DX100 thread certainly makes it tempting.  I'll be looking forward to your impressions, as well as Jalo's, once you all receive your units.  If the SQ is significantly better, all my reasons for a multi-apple device go out the window.

I understand that. I had an iPad 2 for a while, and while I had it, I had no intentions of selling my CLAS since it works with all my iDevices. Now that it's gone, and the "New iPad" is not what I expected, all the more reason to go with the nobrainer-choice.

They really failed on the battery with the 4S. 4 isn't much better either.

Did something go wrong with the Rx3?  What was the reason why we waited for an announcement only to see no supplies?

Will you be providing an update or at least providing an expected time frame?

The amp is up on their website, but its not in stock yet.  $650 for a portable amp ($200 more than their mkii) seems a bit ridiculous.  The reviews better be really good for this thing.

I have heard that they still have a technical issue/fault  to deal with that was discovered at the last minute just when they thought that they were ready for sale.
