Wow! I have a new favorite Rite of Spring... Dorati. The sound is phenominal and the performance has great color and mood. Wille Boskovsky and the Vienna Philharmonic New Years Concert live is spectacular as well with 80 solid minutes of Viennese magic. Curzon and Britten's Mozart is so smooth and beautifully phrased. Why haven't I considered this recording before?!

Amazon now has this priced at $98.15.

Ansermet's Three Cornered Hat is spectacular. The sound quality! Yow! I remember his LPs sounding good, but this recording is the best sounding I've ever heard.

When I ordered mine, it said shipping date was after Dec 25.  They shipped Friday and it was sitting on my desk when I got in this morning.  I'm listening to Three Cornered Hat right now and loving it.

Sorry to resurrect this thread, but I just received this box set and I'm having problems with it.  So far I've tried ripping the first two discs and on both of them the last tracks on the disc have had read and sync errors and have been unable to rip accurately in EAC.  When I listen to the discs themselves, I hear a lot of popping in the tracks that EAC could not rip accurately.  The last couple minutes of the last track of Disc 2 is particularly bad.  I don't have time to sit here and meticulously check all 50 discs right now, but considering the comments about the great sound quality, I'm assuming huge errors on the first two discs would have caught some head-fiers' ear if they were normal.  Can someone else verify that theirs rips perfectly fine?

Mine ripped perfectly using iTunes.

same here using a combination of EAC and K3b. You may have got a bad set...

I had no problems ripping with dbPowerAmp.

I've gone on a boxed set binge.  Since buying the Decca box, I've bought both DG 111 boxes, the first box used, the RCA Living Stereo box, the Mercury Living Presence box, and the Teldec Complete Bach Edition box.
