Was wonding about amp and dac for my Sennheiser 650s.

I recently bought Sennheiser HD 650s and am now looking into amp and dac to get started with for about 500$ for both. Was wondering if TubeMagic D1 is a good dac and Little Dot MK III was a decent setup to start with for these headphones.

Yulong D100 looks to be a great value, if you can call $500 a great value. If I wanted to spend that much, that's what I'd get.

I really do recommend you get a solid state amp, at least for the HD650. It already has the (perhaps misleading) "veiled" stigma attached to it, and some tube amps will just make that worse.

the Icon HDP is solid with the HD650s (and you can get the Icon HD if you only use USB). Should be $450 new and obviously cheaper used.

I've listened to the HD600's through the Matrix M-Stage and I have nothing but love for it - A great amp with everything I throw at it - I'm not a massive expert on full sized amps but It's probably the best £170 I've spent on one piece of Audio gear wink.gif

I'd go with a DACmini...

Dont know if it's powerful enough, but I have a TTVJ Slim that is small and compact and sounds great--although I plan to get rid of it soon

I think I'm going to go with the Yulong D100 when I save up the money and at some point buy an amp to go with it.
