Shoot.  Thanks for the reply.  I heard the Balancing Act several weeks ago and it really left a heck of an impression on me, so I'm very interested in what Craig has in the works.  That's too bad the Super 7 didn't do it for you.  I know one or two people who have been considering the Super 7 vs BA.

I didn't know Cavalli was also working on an electrostat amp (Liquid Lightning).  I hope we can get some impressions on that, particularly from someone with experience with stat amps!

Great impressions, please keep them coming, however sparse they may be! :)

I guess I should have included that Ray was purposely trying to play it as loud as possible, if it had been on someone's head they would have been deafened.

Here's a quick pic which I've taken. The RS 220 is a smash hit!!

Spent some time with the LCD-3. I've got limited prior listening experience with the LCD-2 in the past, but my very unstudied impression is that these are an incremental improvement, not night and day by any means but likely appealing to Audeze devotees. Smoothness seems better, along with perhaps (and I can't say this conclusively) more detail retrieval. I will say this is a case of you really do need to listen for yourself, I suspect some people will opine that they are barely any better and others will tout them as hugely improved...

What does make the lcd so much more expensive? How can a company inject enough r&d in a product in 3 months time to justify such a price  jump? Or is it some kind of realignment vs competitors prices? If so, we've indeed become the milking cow!

it could be as simple as the zebrawood being more expensive, the drivers being more expensive, the pads being more expensive, and that may put you well on your way to the higher price.
