Is the amp in the Conductor the same as the Soloist? Thanks.

Yes, pretty much the same thing with the Soloist.

It was a little laid back for me (the Soloist, that is and I still own it) compared to my Mjolnir. I found the Audez'e well driven by the Mjolnir in general.

I didn't have the change to hear the Mjolnir but I guess it depends on the DAC as well. De DAC in the Conductor is a bit forward sounding.

Citraian - Thanks again. Regarding your Conductor, did you upgrade the USB card?

You're welcome :) No, I have a separate transport (Audiobyte Hydra) that's even better than the USB card.

Nice review from your friend Citraian. As well, I guess the 'advantage' of current drive from the Bakoon is somewhat lost with the increased impedance of Fazor models.

For comparison, I don't prefer the current drive straight out of my BMC dac either. It's good, but bettered by my tube amp for much the same reasons as highlighted with the Conductor.

I use the Schiit Gungnir which is a very good DAC and is a bit forward as well, IMO.
