BTW, absolutely no disrespect to the HD600 or 650. I really, really love those headphones...

Yeah, but only after Crack ... the reverse order is a bit of a let down.

Are the lcd-3's considered genre specific or are they good all rounders?

post #9203 of 9536

guess what?

it depends on the chain and your taste

from more to less all rounder i would sort it like this

th900=hd800 > beyer t1 > lcd3=hd650 > lcd2

I totally agree that TH900 is an all rounder, but HD800?

Thinking the same as well. My preference is for the LCD 3 over the 800 as the all rounder but this is part of the fun in our discussions I suppose.

I've used them for everything under the sun: Classical, Bluegrass, Metal, Computer Games, Rock, Female Vocalists, Pop, Electronica, etc.

LCD-3 sounded great with all.

That video is great. :)

I feel the same way. I've lost track of the number of nights I've stayed up past 3AM in the past 2 months or so listening to a whole bunch of old CDs that I've been digging back out out of my collection just to hear how they sound.
