Link?

Perhaps the first LCD-X review: http://headmania.org/2013/11/08/audeze-lcd-x-review/

Seems to also make sense from a pricing standpoint.

My personal bet: HD600 vs HD650 all over again.

I actually think that the LCD-3 and LCD-X are more alike than the HD600 / 650 ever where.

My money is on the X being an LCD-2 with metal frame, LCD-3 pads, waveguide and a different dampening system.  Which makes it quite a bit like the 650 compared to the 600.  Wording is everything.  Audeze says thinner than competitors not the Lotus driver.

If that is true, it's not too long until we'll see the same applied to the LCD-3s as the new flagship for 3.5k.

That's how I would play it ;)

Also how difficult would it be for a crafty person to combine that with the LCD-3s drivers and see what happens, sound wise. :)
