Plush, comfy but heavy.

Just for fun and comparison:

I don't find my LCD3 to be excessively heavy at all. I can and do wear them for hours with no problems at all. There are some times I feel a need to adjust the position slightly but even then very rarely. Love those phones. Everything about them just keepers.

Looks like LCD-3 with the dacmini for me, will buy in the coming months.

...but i may get a pair of ie 800's for some more portables, once i get some extra $....

Anyway, is there anywhere i can audition the lcd-3 in NYC? i hear south hackensack has a store (headphones.com) that sells them, but i have no idea if i can listen to them.

It's an electronic, somewhat dubstep album. Not your typical transformers/skrillex dubstep. It's more on the musical side for sure This album really brings out the (deep) bass of the LCD-3. Really good soundscapes and ambience. It has a wide variety of flavours. A few great vocal tracks. Really deserves a full through listen. Sligthly on the dark side. Very relaxing and engaging at the same time.

I recommend listening the full length. They are not your typical repetition of verse/chorus back and forth. Here are some tracks:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmolnSHjHi8 (some vocals)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=taVZ4mzFMdY (again, few vocals)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-WtxOp6jlMs (bass + soundscape)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GN5ZKuqlrUY (Album starts off with this - grew on me over time)

There are just a few tracks. I recommend the whole album honestly.

What's some tunes you recommend DG?

Audeze sent me a survey (I don't know how widespread it was) about what I liked/didn't like about their phones or phones in general.

Questions were about things like the shape of the pads, how important strong bass was, whether use from a portable source was important, etc.

Did anyone get this? Thanks.

Yeah a few weeks ago, right after I got my hp's back, it said you could possibly win a $1000 credit with audeze for filling it out too, that would be pretty sweet

I was thinking that Audeze is working on the next version. That would be nice. I'd sure be in line with LCD3s kind of my favorite phone lately.

Maybe, 1k credit would be nice towards the closed back model as well:)
