New Audeze LCD3 - Page 448

Hi Everyone,

I have contacted Audez'e on this and they said I can send them in anytime and they would look, which is what I'm planning on doing. I'm just curious, have any of you had this problem:

At times, one or both sides of the headphones (the right side in my case) makes little noises when moving your head? l mean like a little "tick" type noise?

Thanks!

Ben

Anyone?

Send them in. I've experienced this firsthand with someone's else LCD3 and my own LCD3. They both died. (One died more immediately than the other.) Don't worry, Audeze will absolutely take care of you.

I thought I read a while back that Audeze was working on speakers. Any truth to this? Thanks.

I heard both their prototype floorstanding speakers and powered monitors at RMAF 2011.  They were impressive.  Since then I think they have been focusing on the headphones.

Thanks Justin. I'd sure trust their sonic judgement for speakers, especially monitors.

Yes, I saw them and listen to them too. They were nice but I dropped to the floor when Shankar told me the price of the floorstanders... $100,000 pair. eek.gif

That's prestige pricing.  If MBL made headphones, people wouldn't blink if they charge 2-3K for headphones because they have 100K+ speakers in their lineup.

I don't think they were really planning on putting that line array into production, although if someone offered them 100K I'm sure they could find it in their hearts to make one for the sucker lucky guy.  Their monitors on the other hand seem more realistic, though still a bit pricey.

Hi, recently, i use the audio gd reference10(all in one,DAC+SS AMP) with Denon D7100. The treble is too bright and sharp for me. Therefore i plan to sell D7100 and build another combination.

Here's two ways to solve now.

1, keep the reference10 and go for LCD3  (Is LCD3 hard to drive as He6)?

2, Change reference10 to reference7 and go for EF6+HE6

Which way is more valuable ?

Huh? Is that a typo? I was hoping for a nice pair of monitors that sound like LCD3s for $5,000-$10,000 maybe...

..... The speaker includes two custom-built DSP and amplifier modules.

Active speakers, it seems..

For that money I'd be getting MBL's or about ten others on my list!
