New Audeze LCD3 - Page 22

There are people that have actually done this (requested bans). I seriously considered it when I tried my step back from high end cans.

Thanks for the link.  I canceled my order of the LCD-2 and sold my HD 800.  I will keep my AH-D7000 a month until I buy LCD-3.  I may have to let the Denon go, too.

Woah...Someone's excited, eh? ;)

I contacted Audeze to see if they have some sort of pre-order.  I don't want to be stuck waiting for 3 months again...

If anyone is going to the show tomorrow and if the four pairs have not sold out yet, please let me know. I will pay you upfront $1950 plus $200 premium and reimburse FedEx to Hong Kong if you can get it for me. Payment upfront, no questions asked. Many thanks to kind fellow Head Fiers advance.

I'll pay $2000 including shipping (to Irvine, CA) plus $300 to charity.

I'll give my firstborn.

The middle of next month, when my local dealer takes delivery of LCD-3 stock, I'll take my LCD-2's over there for a comparo and see if there's enough of a reason to buy them. If I leave a deposit I think he'll allow me to take his demo pair home with me. Then I'll know for sure.

I learned the hard way from the K701 and the HD800 not to trust ears other than my own again.

This thread has to be setting an all time record for lack of content.

Moderators need to step in, regain control, and force it back on point.

Please, no more garbage posts!

Does anyone know if the LCD-3 uses the same cable connectors as the LCD-2?  I thought I read somewhere that they are different.

Could be wrong but it is unlikely that the privileged 4 recipients of the LCD-3 will part with it.

Primarily because of the unspoken conditional law that they are not to sell it on at a profit

before the due date. If anything they would be give aways on the behalf of Audeze so that

these lucky guys go on to spread the word that this headphone is worthy of serious

consideration.

In other words, the fabled four are marketing tools.

I'll post more impressions and photos from the show later.  For me, personally, this show is off to a great start!

Assuming from Jude's post I would say the cable connectors would be the same.

Can someone ask Audeze tomorrow if the new LCD3 earpads are the same size as the LCD2's, so people with the 2s [that find the current pads uncomfortable] can replace their earpads with the new, more comfortable, ones?

Obviously Audeze needs to raise the price! Just think how much more status and prestige could be achieved if these sold for $6k instead of $2k!

Somebody needs to separate the men from the boys and come out with the $10k headphone, Won't even matter what it sounds like as long as the buyer thinks it enhances his genitalia.

I'm seriously interested in these headphones, but this thread is really putting a bad taste in my mouth.

I feel sorry for Audeze. They don't deserve this.

Frank - this always happens with LCD-# threads. Audeze will be fine. They win because they get attention.
