Excellent Idea.  How about a group buy.

Maybe $1950.00 was the pre-order price? ;) I kid.

I believed they told me that the LCD3 will be available on 11/11/11.  Ha, how is that?  Is it good omen or bad omen?  Also, they are not giving any conference promotional discount that i feel showed some level of confidence as almost every vender in the room has some kind of promotion going on.

Given how over 90% of the posts about RMAF is about the LCD-3 on Head-Fi, Audeze's confidence probably isn't misplaced.

I dunno, given 90% of the posts on Head-fi were about the LCD2.

I see that Audeze is taking the Apple approach, make a revision and everyone buys it, then make a new model with hardly any changes and everyone buys it. meanwhile you tripled your sales for selling nearly the same product in 3 incarnations.

Another opportunity to bash Apple? :) The difference between a 1K and a 2K Apple product is not comparable to the differences between LCD-2 and LCD-3. If it will be the so called law of diminishing returns will be completely obliterated in the area of headphones

If anyone is able to buy a pair out of Canjam, I am willing to pay him $1,950 and a premium of $100 and of course reimburse Fedex shipment to Hong Kong. As long as it is from a longstanding member I will pay upfront, no questions asked.

If you read the other threads, I believe only 4 x units exist at Can-Jam. One pair are 'reportedly' heading for Jude's own hands (founder of this place)

- never know, PM him and see if he's interested in talking LCD-3 bargaining.

I probably misunderstood someone's post about an introductory price.  The "other thread" as people have put it was an impressions thread with 17 pages of no impressions.

As for the mini Maggies, I'm not sure my desk would be good for them, as it is too close to the window and wall. Harbeths are first on my list for that and possibly the smallest Piegas if I can demo a pair again sometime.

IMO LCD-2 has aesthetic design merit, LCD-3 has no aesthetic merit.  It's about as bad as those awful 'manufaktur' Beyers.  Maybe designed by the same guy?

This guy... So vocal about willing to spend money on an already outrageously priced phone.

Somebody get him his phone and begone with it!

Premium of a $100. C'mon.

I know what you mean about the desk.   I'm trying to come up with away to have the desktop away from a wall and still make the room functional...going to call for a complete redesign for all the gear, the desktop and the room...

Don't you guys think it's kind of premature?

Not really considering the price and what appears to be a driver swap. Audeze could have issued a press release to put these doubts to mind. But that would be counter their viral marketing strategy.
